Therapy Fees

I offer a free 15 minute consultation.

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield for individuals but not for couples or marriage counseling. Many insurance companies state that they do not cover marriage and couples counseling or family therapy, and are restrictive in the therapy process. I do not accept any other insurance coverage at this time.

Fees are $150.00 for 60 minute sessions. $190 for 75 minute sessions. For couples, I recommend 75-minute sessions at $190.00. I also offer an income based sliding fee upon request.

I can accept HSA and FSA accounts.

Why doesn’t Paul Hoskins Counseling accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. Many insurance companies state that they do not cover marriage and couples counseling or family therapy. My approach to counseling is more relationship-oriented than focused on information gathering and pathologizing. Many insurance companies require many personal and often intrusive questions to be answered on the first session. I prefer to receive the important relevant information naturally as trust in the therapeutic process grows and develops over time.
